Mettlio ("Mettlio", "we", "us") is an online job-search and job-application service operated by Tijil Jha as a sole proprietorship in India. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.
1. Data we collect
- Waitlist details: your email address and, if you choose, your name, the role you want and your city.
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Résumé and profile: your résumé, work history, education, skills and job preferences (such as roles, locations, expected salary and notice period).
- Application answers: the answers Mettlio fills in on job applications on your behalf, based on your profile and your instructions.
- Employer-site logins: where a company's careers site requires an account, Mettlio may create one for you to submit your application, and keeps those login details securely so it can manage that application.
- Email (only if you connect your inbox): we read only job-related emails — such as application confirmations, recruiter replies and interview invites — to track your applications. We do not read or use other emails.
- WhatsApp and phone: your number and messages or call details, used to send you updates, take your replies and call you if you choose that option.
- Connected links: GitHub, portfolio or other profile links you add to show your work.
- Payments: handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Usage data and cookies: basic usage information and essential cookies needed to keep you signed in, keep the service secure and improve it. This website uses no advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To run the waitlist and tell you when your access is ready.
- To find jobs that match you, prepare tailored résumés and cover letters, and submit applications that you have authorised.
- To send you updates about your applications through the channels you choose.
- To track the status of your applications and remind you when to follow up.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent and to provide the service you asked for. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Who we share it with
- Employers and their hiring portals: only the information needed for an application you have authorised.
- Trusted service providers who help us run the service (for example hosting, messaging and payments), under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for our instructions.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Storage, security and retention
Your data is kept on secure infrastructure operated by trusted service providers, and may be processed outside India where the law permits. We use reasonable security safeguards to protect it. We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you close your account or ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Waitlist details are kept until you join, ask us to remove them, or we stop running the waitlist.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. You can also disconnect your inbox or remove employer-site logins at any time. For any privacy request, write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service.
6. Children
Mettlio is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Grievance officer

8. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email.
